1966 FORD DUPLE EMPRESS

History
Our coach was built by Duple (Hendon Factory - London) on a Ford chassis and supplied to Hutchison Coaches of Overtown in Scotland where it gave sterling service on their tourist excursions in and around the local area.

During the 1970s the coach was sold off to another operator, before being sold out of service to a local fruit farmer who used it to transport 'harvest pickers' around their estate and by all accounts the coach was kept in immaculate condition, stored in a barn when not in use. The coach has remained remarkably original.
Eventually she found here way into the hands of various enthusiasts and preservationists, one of which we purchased her from in 2010 with the intention of putting her back into light use.
We are very pleased that in her 51st year we are now able to offer her out for private hire.
